Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities at the Murray County Museum

Do you have a passion for history and a talent to share? We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring the past to life!

Pioneer Tour Volunteers
Do you know how to:

  • Make butter
  • Shell corn
  • Twist rope
  • Play old-time instruments
  • Share pioneer stories?

We’d love your help with our school Pioneer Tours! Join us in educating and entertaining local students as they learn about life in the “old days.”

Help Us Organize History
We’re also looking for volunteers to help file newspaper clippings into our topical and family history files. If you’re organized and enjoy diving into local history, this is a great opportunity.

Interested?
Call Nick Demuth at 507-836-6533 or email us at museum@co.murray.mn.us to learn more or fill out a volunteer application. Thank you for helping us preserve Murray County’s history!
