Drive Through Comfort Food Fundraiser

Don’t make lunch! Just drive through for a great fall meal! Orders now being taken for some Drive Through Comfort Food Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 2 PM at the Murray County Fairgrounds 4-H building. This Murray County Historical Society Fundraiser features Janet Timmerman’s Smith Family Recipe for homemade Hoosier Chicken and Noodles. This is not soup, but rather a thick comforting stew served over real mashed potatoes. Handed down for generations from Janet’s Smith ancestors, this dish is a staple in Indiana and is served at many a-church dinner there.

The cost per meal is $10.00. Each serving will be a healthy amount of chicken and homemade egg noodles over mashed potatoes, a side of cabbage slaw and a homemade bar. Or just order a quart of chicken and noodles and a pint of fresh mashed potatoes to freeze or eat later for $15. Order ahead and drive through to pick up your tasty Hoosier Dinner. All proceeds go to fund a new sign and landscaping at the corner of the Dinehart Holt House yard.

Call 507-836-6533 and let us know what you want to order and what time you want to pick it up. Then drive past the front doors of the     4-H building and pick it up. We accept cash or check.
